We are The Book Parlor serving Spokane WA

The Book Parlor is a non-profit, full service bookstore in the West Central Neighborhood of Spokane, Washington. A ministry of Salem Lutheran Church, The Book Parlor first opened its doors in March of 2001 and has been a warm and welcoming presence in the neighborhood ever since.

Not only are we here to provide our customers with good books and fair trade gifts at affordable prices, we’re also a Third Place in West Central Spokane where neighbors can meet neighbors, as well as a "safe place" for whoever happens to stop by.

We are doing our part as people called by God to make our little corner of the world a better place for all. You may have seen our motto:

"Read. Reflect. Act."

At The Book Parlor we don’t just sell books for you to read, we sell books that we hope you’ll reflect on and that reflection will spur you on to serve/act in your community, wherever you find yourself.
